Senior Bookkeeping Contractor

(Part-Time | Remote)

We're looking for a highly detail-oriented, experienced accountant or bookkeeper to join our team as a part-time 1099 contractor. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into the details, spotting inconsistencies, and ensuring clean, accurate financials.

Position Details:

  • Part-time: Up to 8 hours per week

  • Flexible, remote work

  • Independent contractor (1099)

  • Pay: $25–$30/hour, depending on experience

  • Must provide own laptop with anti-virus software.

There is potential to convert to an employee in the future, at which point a company laptop would be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with monthly close for multiple clients

  • Review financials for accuracy and completeness

  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations

  • Prepare adjusting journal entries as needed

  • Help compile monthly financial report packages

  • Support ad hoc projects, such as cleanup, onboarding or process improvements

Qualities/Experience We're Looking For:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (must know debits & credits)

  • Reconciliation experience is required

  • Proficient or confident in QuickBooks Online (QBO ProAdvisor is a bonus)

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and loves solving problems

  • Comfortable working independently and managing time across multiple clients
